John and Mary Lou moved to Snowmass Vlg when he retired 15 years ago. They also have a son, daughter-in-law and three grandsons who live in Basalt. They are both physically active and active in giving back to the community with their talents.
Kim Hamilton moved to Carbondale with her husband, Mark in 1998 and it didn’t take long for them to find a home at St. Peters. Both of their boys, Rex and Jack, were baptized at St. Peters. Kim is a teacher at Crystal River Elementary School in Carbondale and Mark is an attorney at Holland & Hart in Aspen.
Cristina was born in Bogota, Colombia, raised Roman Catholic and came to the Episcopal Church in her mid twenties. Since then she has been very active in every parish she has been a member of. She has three daughters, seven grandchildren and they all live very active lives. She spends six months of the year here in Colorado, and loves every moment, the other six in Boca Raton, Florida and there too, she loves every moment of it. It has always been her mode of life to be involved in the community she lives in, to give back or give forward whichever way you look at it.... This for her has been the source of many happy years. She looks forward to continuing this happy involvement in both St. Peter’s Church and the Basalt area.
Andrew Thomas - Jr. Warden
A Colorado Native and avid outdoor enthusiast, Andrew has been roaming the hills and fishing the waters of the Roaring Fork Valley since he was a young boy. A career opportunity brought he and his wife Renee to the Valley with their children April and Brooks late in 2013. For Andrew, God’s awesome power is manifest both in the silent roar of a sunrise and in the kindness and generosity that are so present in this little valley. Andrew says, “It felt like home the first time we came, we feel very blessed to have found St. Peters and to be welcomed into such wonderful family”
Janet has lived in the valley for 40 plus years and has been a member of St. Peter’s since 1989. She and her husband Bob live up the Crystal River Valley. They have two sons. Matt and his wife Lindsey live in Glenwood Springs as does their son Corey. Both the boys were raised at St. Peter’s. Janet has served as Senior Warden a number of times as well as a member of St. Peter's Bishop’s Committee and Search Committees. She looks forward to serving on the new Vestry as St. Peter’s continues to grow as a Parish.
Matt grew up in the Episcopal church in the Phoenix area with a little Jesuit education thrown in. He has since sought enlightenment in/on the East Coast, the Midwest and the Front Range. After finding love and a home in the RFV, he and his lovely wife visited every viable place of worship in the valley and ended up back where it all began. 14 years later he and his family are happily members of the greatest little episcopal congregation on the Western Slope.
Michael Stout grew up in Indianapolis, IN where he was first exposed to the spiritual fellowship of the Episcopal Church. He works as a graphic designer, screen printer and small business owner. His spare time is spent with his lovely wife and their dog in the outdoors.
In 1982, Frank Rudecoff moved to the Roaring Fork Valley and Basalt with the plan to become a member of these communities and to raise his family. In the winter of 1990, Frank and daughter Liza attended their first service at St. Peter’s which was then being held in the basement of the Growing Years building at 200 Elk Run. From that time until the present Frank has been an active member of the congregation in many different ways. He is honored to be selected to join the Vestry and looks forward to being a productive member of that group.
